Self-Propelled Flat Trailers
AMT’s self-propelled rail trailers feature a modular design, allowing most components and options to be fully interchangeable with non-driven rail trailers. This provides maximum flexibility and future-proof investment value.
The trailers are equipped with two or four hydrostatically driven wheels and fail-safe braking systems for safe and reliable operation.
Flat trailers are designed for speeds up to 20 km/h and can operate on gradients up to 60‰. An optional trailer braking system enables multiple units to be coupled together for increased transport capacity.
AMT has developed a special self-propelled flat trailer specifically designed for transporting large vehicles and heavy special loads. Both the front and rear sections are removable, allowing vehicles to be easily driven directly onto the trailer.
The low center section is interchangeable and available in sizes up to 12 x 2.8 meters, with a payload capacity of up to 45 tonnes.
This design allows standard road vehicles to be transported in their original configuration — maintaining full road payload capacity without modifications.
